A Message from Our President

Once again, I begin my annual reflection on a successful year in a state of humble admiration for the work of our dedicated staff members, and for the positive impacts of this work on our clients and the people and communities they serve.

The challenges before us—critical national and global goals such as fostering economic growth through innovation, transforming health care, and closing gaps in food security—often seem entrenched, but our experts made important strides toward solutions that are making the world a better place.

We rallied to take on the spread of Zika, the epidemic of opioid addiction, the need for reliable data to inform law enforcement and policing, and other emerging issues. Among many other achievements, we hit significant milestones in clean energy technologies, air quality monitoring, and programs to raise literacy rates. And our experts contributed to advancements in science and technology, generating more than 900 scientific and technical publications.

As always, we look ahead to the future eager to make an even greater impact.

To ensure we’ll be ready, this year we invested more than ever in our people and programs—aiming, as always, to better position RTI to serve our clients and, in so doing, fulfill our mission of improving the human condition.
